Accused (in 1887) of leaving the country without a permit for emigration, and of not showing for military service. Shoemaker. http://www.rootdigger.de/Emi.htm. Email from Paul Dencklau dated- -4-28-2006; Does anyone have info on the migration of H J JR ? All I have is from the 1900 & 1920 census which says 1883 but census records are not very accurate, especially for immigration dates. 1883 is the same year his parents immigrated but he was not on that ship list, highly unlikely he was a stowaway and not detected for 15 days but was not on the New York list either. Let me know if you can help, Paul. Sent Paul my profile of Hans Jr.
