Hans Georg Lewald was born in Aschaffenburg on 3 January 1936. His father Siegfried Lewald (born in 1893 in Homburg a. M.) was a businessman who traded with hardware. His mother Käthe Lewald (born in 1907, née Weissenberg) was the daughter of a factory owner in Nicolai (now: Mikolow, Poland). In 1931, after getting married in Gleiwitz (now: Gliwice, Poland), Käthe and Siegfried came to Aschaffenburg, where they lived at Bustellistraße 10. One year later Hans Georg's elder sister Roselore was born. She attend the Jewish primary school in Aschaffenburg and in 1939, when Hans Georg was 3 years old, she was able to leave the country and moved to England. The family lived together with Hans Georg's grandfather Salomon Lewald, who died in 1940 at the age of 79. On 25 April 1942 the 7-year-old Hans Georg and his parents were deported to Ghetto Krasniczyn where they were most likely killed.

Hans Georg Lewald was born in Aschaffenburg, Germany to Fiodor and Katerina nee Veisenberg. He was a child. Prior to WWII he lived in Aschaffenburg, Germany. During the war he was in Aschaffenburg, Germany.

Hans Georg was murdered in the Shoah.
