Harriet was a daughter of Thomas BROWN 1742-1822 Linen Draper of London who latterly was a resident of Upper Tooting. His wife, her mother, was Hannah nee HEPTINSTALL. The ring went to her married sister Sophia KENSINGTON's side of the family. Grandfather refers to Thomas Brown, (1742 to 1822), Ellen is Ellen BROWN born Bath 1808, daughter of Joseph Thomas BROWN, where Joseph was also a child of Thomas and Hannah and hence a sibling of Sophia, Harriet and William.
