ARRIVAL: Harriet, sister Eliza her husband William Manuel were assisted migrants from Dorset. They arrived in NSW aboard the ship "Lady Kennway" in 1841 with their three children. The Lady Kennaway embarked from Portsmouth (England) under Captain Spencer on 13 June 1841. She "sailed thru the heads" (Sydney) on 13 October 1841, after 122 days at sea, and landed 260 "Bounty" immigrants in the colony. There were three births, five deaths and one person lost overboard during the voyage BIOGRAPHY: Harriet was an unmarried mother of a daughter which she named Harriet, but did not register the birth. In 1848 she married John Champion at Scone and then moved to Rocky River, Uralla, where he became a publican. There is no record of any children of the marriage. Harriet died in 1859, at 38 years of age, and there was one child living listed on her death record
