Based on the 1871 census, William died prior to 1871. It is likely that he died fairly recently, as Sarah was described as a Pauper.

According to Shirley Johnson Berry, the marriage record of Harriet and Violet find Harriet on Louth Register book 9d, page 390 as Harriet Skirlaugh Willison. Is the Skirlaugh a middle name? Or evidence of a prior marriage?
