Harriett Horn

Harriett "Hattie" Duursma Horn, 87, died at 6:10 PM Wednesday [June 3, 1987] in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where she had been a patient since May 30. Born June 19, 1899, at New Rockford, ND, she was reared there, but had been a longtime resident of Lafayette. She married Henry J. Horn on April 2, 1919, in Lafayette; he survives. Mrs. Horn was a member of First Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church.

Surviving with her husband are four sons, Henry Horn, Jr. of Lebanon, Edward Eugene Horn of Brownsburg, Melvin Horn of Lafayette, and Martin Horn of Rossville; one daughter, Berneice Benjamin of LaMesa, CA; 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Cobiseno in 1964; five brothers and four sisters.
