• Grandson of John "Gaiänt'wakê" Abeel, Seneca War Chief
• Gordon married Mary Lewis (1833-1910)
• Their children; Malinda (1867-1916), Hamilton Fish (1868-1921), William H (1872-1893), Winwood (b. 1874), Emily B (b. 1877) and Harrison H Halftown (1884-1884).
• Harrison died aft. 30 Jun 1901.

• He was the former deputy clerk of the Seneca Nation and for nearly his whole life he identified with the public concerns of the Seneca Nation. He had good judgement and experience and slowly but firmly followed the course which made for the prosperity and peace of his people.
