Harry Eckler

ECKLER, Harry - Outstanding Jewish athlete. Played in four world championships. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Winnipeg in 1991. One of the best first basemen in Canada. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the age of 94. Predeceased by his wife and soul mate Shirley. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Community Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery.
