About Harry G. McQuate
Lancaster New Era, Thurs., Sept. 1, 1983, p. 3: Harry G. McQuate of Ephrata Succumbs Harry Grumbein McQuate, 81, of 633 W. Main St., Ephrata, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home Tuesday evening. He was last employed by Ay Machine Tool and Die Co. Inc., Ephrata, and had formerly been employed by the Ford Leather Co., Akron. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Ephrata, and the Golden Rule Class of the Sunday school. He was also a member of the Golden Years Club of the Ephrata Recreation Center.
McQuate was the husband of the late Cora Romig McQuate, who died in 1972. Born in Rothsville, he was the son of the late Wallace and Emma Balmer [sic - Grumbein] McQuate. He had resided in Ephrata since 1926. He is survived by a son, Ralph E., Ephrata; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
