MARRIAGES Hartwell H. Tarver and Ann R. Wimberly his wife, were married 15th day May, 1823. H. H. Tarver and Harriet M. Wimberly, his wife, were married on the 8th of Feb. 1843, at 10 o'clock A.M. Wm. Bunn Tarver and Laura L. Wimberly were married. Wm. Bunn Tarver and Annie P. Weaver were married. Benjamin Marcus Tarver and Lila V. Huguenin were married in Macon, May 19, 1869. Alfred H. Colquitt, Dollie E. Tarver, were married on 15th of May, 1848. Henry A. Tarver and Elizabeth G. Solomon were married on 6th of March, 1850. Fred R. Tarver and Sarah L. Bunn were married 14th of Apr. 1852. Paul E. Tarver and Cinderella Crocker Soloman were married April 18, 1854.

Robert Frederick Tarver, son of H. H. Tarver and Ann, his wife, was born 27 Oct. 1827. Dorothy Elizabeth Tarver, daughter of H. H. Tarver and Ann, his wife, was born on the 7th October 1829. Wm. M. Tarver, the youngest son of Andrew Tarver, was born 22nd June 1801. Jno. Hartwell Tarver, son of H. H. Tarver and Ann, his wife, was born 23rd Aug. 1831. Rebecca Ann Tarver, daughter of H. H. Tarver and Ann, his wife, was born 18th June 1833. Wm. Bunn Tarver, son of H. H. Tarver and Harriet M. his wife, was born 23rd of May 1844 at 7 o'clock in the morning. Benja. Marcus Tarver, son of H. H. Tarver and Harriet M., his wife, was born June 20, 1846.

DEATHS. Paul E. Tarver, son of H. H. and Ann A. Tarver, died 19th of June, 1858. Dorothy E. Colquitt, daughter of H. H. and Ann R. Tarver, died Apr. 18, 1855, at her home in Baker County. Henry A. Tarver, son of H. H. and Ann R. Tarver, died in Albany, Ga., Feb. 10, 1897. Harriet M. Tarver, wife of H. H. Tarver, died in Twiggs Co. Laura L. Tarver, wife of W. B. Tarver died. Ann Rebecca Tarver, daughter of H. H. and Ann R. Tarver, departed this life on Saturday, 31st of May, 1834, at 9 o'clock A.M., age 11 months and 12 days. Ann R. Tarver, wife of H. H. Tarver, departed this life on Friday 12th of Feb. 1836 at about 10 o'clock A.M. age 30 yrs. Hartwell H. Tarver, the head of this family departed this life on Wednesday at 11 o'clock 19th of Nov. 1851. Aged a little upward of three score years, lamenting his ignorance of the Bible. His dying declaration to his family was that they might read it, live it, live it, live it. John H. Tarver, son of H. H. Tarver and Ann R. Tarver, departed this life on Saturday, 29th of May, 1852, in the bloom of life, and but a few days before he was to marry Miss Tabitha Curry, and interesting lady from Alabama, Aged 20 yrs. Frederick R. Tarver departed this life Thursday night 23 Sept. 1852, aged 24 yrs. 11 months. So soon to follow his Father and Brother, and 5 mos. and a few days after his marriage; death has no terrors, he trusted in the Great Mediator between God and Man - the Man Jesus Christ.

General Hartwell Hill Tarver, the progenitor of this family, was son of Andrew Tarver and his wife, Elizabeth Hartwell. He was born Brunswick Co., Va., 1791. He was elected by Georgia Legislature in 1842 "General" of all Georgia Militia. His second wife was Mrs. Harriet Bunn Wimberly, formerly Harriet Maria Bunn.

was a descendant of family of 7 brothers and 2 sisters who came to America in colonial days, the 7 brothers fought in the American Revolution on the side of the patriots

became the richest man in Georgia, "accumulated an immense property in lands and slaves" 2600 acres in Bakers County", Buzzard Roost Plantation which was divided into Tarva plantation and Pinebloom plantations in Baker and Dougherty Counties. Tarva grew to 4750 acres and supplied the Confederate government.

in 1836 he helped erect the first buildings in trading post that became Albany Ga.

settled in Twiggs County and lived there til his death in 1852
