1900 US Census / ED 239 Precinct 10 Pittsburgh / City Ward 20, Allegheny, PA, US Harvey is a "salesman in music store" living with wife Annie Dickson, daughter Abbie Murdock, da Margerie Lovett, son Harvey Sharp Jr., on what looks like "Summerles St."
In 1881/1882 a city directory has Harvey living with father Robert at 16 Scott, and working as a bookkeeper at Mellor, Hoene & Henricks (a piano & organ retailer). In 1886/1887 he is living at 724 Ivy and working at same place. In 1898/99 he is listed as manager 319 5th Ave., home 5725 Walnut.
A city directory from 1899/1900 has a listing for Harvey S. Patterson, salesman at 319 5th Avenue and home residence 5725 Walnut. Into early 1900s he is listed as sec'y for Mellor & Co. At his death in 1908 he had worked 30 years for them.
Address at death in 1908 was 402 Atlantic Ave., Ward 19, Pittsburgh, PA.
Active member of Masonic fraternity / St. John's Lodge F and A.M. Shiloh Chapter, Royal Arch Masons; Tancred Commandery, and Pennsylvania Consistory.
In failing health for 2 years prior to death. Pleural pneumonia followed by tuberculosis.
