Bonham - Graveside services for Mrs. Hazel Lou Keene, age 92, formerly of Bonham, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2002, in the New Hope Cemetery in Fannin County. Mrs. Keene passed away Sunday, December 30, 2001, in Grand Prairie.

She was born August 10, 1909, in Bonham, to the late Sam and Ethel Leatherwood Miller. Mrs. Keene married E. L. (Buddy) Keene on November 22, 1927, in Bonham. He preceded her in death in November of 1989. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Cordelia Smith of Bedford; son, Henry Keene and wife, Pat, of Richardson; grandchildren, Richard Smith and wife, Patty, of Arlington, Robert Smith and wife, Virginia, of Bedford, Russell Keene and wife, Ann, of Washington, Brad Keene and wife, Susan, of Austin, Alexis Keene Collard and husband, Bradley, of Dallas; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.

When Hazel Lou Miller was born on 10 August 1909, in Bonham, Fannin, Texas, United States, her father, Sam Bradford Miller, was 25 and her mother, Minnie Ethal Leatherwood, was 19. She had at least 1 son and 1 daughter with Earnest Lyle Keene. She lived in United States in 1949 and Fannin, Texas, United States in 1950. She died on 30 December 2001, in Bedford, Tarrant, Texas, United States, at the age of 92, and was buried in New Hope Cemetery, Ivanhoe, Fannin, Texas, United States.
