Ernest (Buddy) Keene
Ernest (Buddy) Keene, 83, of Bonham died Sunday, Nov. 26, 1989 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesady, Nov. 29 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel in Bonham. Rev. Odie Carry will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Bonham.
Mr. Keene was born March 21, 1906 in Ivanhoe, the son of Henry Keene and Myrtle Pearson Keene. He married Hazel Miller on Nov. 22, 1927 in Bonham. He served as constable for eight years and was a member of the Ivanhoe Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Keene of the home; son, Henry Keene of Austin; daughter, Delia Ann Smith of Irving; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Forrest Keene of Dallas; and one sister, Mary Ann Covert of Fullerton, Calif.
The family will be at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 7-8 p.m.
