Baschwitz-Teske, Hedwig Gisela (“Isa”) (1922- ), lawyer and Dutch Resistance member, born in Hamburg, Germany, the daughter of Siegfried Kurt Baschwitz. She fled to the Netherlands together with her parents in 1933. After WW II, she studied and then practiced law.
During World War II, when the Netherlands was occupied by Germany, she was active in the Dutch Resistance forces. When her father was arrested by the Gestapo in 1942 and taken to Westerbork concentration camp, she was able to procure his release within five days by producing forged identity papers.
