Hi Stephanie, Because I'm not sure if we've ever met or what you can see of my tree on Ancestry; I am Brenda's daughter-in-law married to her oldest Jim. I believe the copy of the picture Brenda has came from you. I'd be happy to share what I can with you. My initial information came from a family history book Brenda had recorded information in as well as a letter she had received from Boyzie. I used that information to start my research on Ancestry. Let me start by saying Brenda has always spoken very fondly of your grandparents & her time spent with them. I think as a child it was a safe haven for her, where she did not have to be the oldest, & have to look after younger siblings. Helen Mary Culloty was born 9 Nov. 1889 in Castleisland Co. Kerry, her parents were Daniel & Catherine O'Connor. She had at least 3 siblings Jack, Sheila & Annie (whom she traveled to America with & married name was Clune). Jeremiah Coffey was born 22 Jan 1893 in Beaufort, Co. Kerry. His parents were Jeremiah Coffey & Julia O'Connor & had 3 sisters Mary Ann, Hana whose married name was Diggins & I do not know the third sisters name. ( I have not researched their parents to find any connection between their mothers having the same last name). According to Boyzie Helen & Jeremiah met at a dance in Dublin (were Helen & Annie were living) the night before he was leaving for England & scheduled to sail on the Titanic. He arrived late & the ship had sailed,( I do not know how true this story is however he sailed from Queenstown 14 April 1912 just behind the Titanic). Helen & Annie arrived in New York a year later 4 May 1913 listing that they were coming to So. Boston to meet a cousin. Helen & Jeremiah were married 1 Mar 1914 at St Catherine's in Somerville. I am going to end here for now, please remember this info has come from different sources & I have tried to find documentation where I can but can never be 100% sure. I would love to know if you have conflicting or different info. or if you have other more specific questions please don't hesitate to ask. Ellen
