Helen Evarts was the daughter of Allen and Minerva (Bingham) Wardner and wife of William Maxwell Evarts.

Windsor: Mrs. Helen W. Evarts, widow of William M. Evarts of New York, died at the country home here today in her 84th year. The funeral will be held at St. Paul’s Church on Tuesday morning. Mrs. Evarts was a daughter of Allen Wardner. She was married here in 1843 and since the death of her husband had lived in her native place. Mr. and Mrs. Evarts had twelve children, nine of whom are living. The Vermont Journal.
