Hendrick Jansz van Brevoort

Hendrick Jansz emigrated to New York in the year 1660. The entry in the early passenger list reads, "Hendrick Jansz, from Amersfoort, wife and four children, aged 3, 12, 16, and 18 years; left Amersfoort, Holland, on March 8, 1660 in De Moesman (The Market Gardener), a vessel under the command of Captain Jacob Jansz Staets." He came from Brevoort, a hamlet about a mile from the walls of Amersfoort in the diocese of Utrecht, Holland.*
