Henrietta Susan Lewis

Henrietta Susan Nicholson was a daughter, born to John W. Nicholson and Elizabeth Bayly 'Betsy' Stewart in 1841 at Northampton County, VA.

In the 1860 Census, Henrietta was listed with her grandfather at Northampton County, VA. She was shown in HH #681 headed by James Stewart, a 91 year old farmer. Listed with him was Sarah Stewart, age 38; Rosy Stewart, age 38; Louis W. Stewart, age 25; Harriett Cottingham, age 40; Betty Nicholson, age 48 and Henrietta Nicholson, age 19.

In February 1865, she married Lt. John Dennis Lewis, the son of Pvt. Thomas Lewis & Sarah Ann Hart, at Accomack County, VA.

The children of Henrietta Nicholson & John Dennis Lewis were:

Ruth G. Lewis (b 1871 - d 1935) and Miletus M. Lewis (b 1873 - d 1959).

Henrietta Nicholson Lewis died in 1909. She, her husband and both children are buried in the Northwood Cemetery, Philagelphia, PA
