About Henry Arnold, Sr.
In 1779 Henry Arnold took the oath of allegiance to the United States government in Henry Co., Va.
Henry was the father of the Rutherford County, Tennessee William, not the one who died in Washington Co., GA. See details under his son, William Arnold, Sr.
Also, no proof and unlikely this Henry's wife was named Sarah.
Henry was named in his father's will: Cumberland County, Virginia Will Book No. 2 with Inventories and Accounts 1769 - 1792, pps. 157-158, LDS Microfilm #0,870,534, item 2, transcription by Jim Sims, 15 July 2003:
