About Henry Aylmer, 2nd Baron Aylmer
Henry Aylmer, 2nd Lord Aylmer was the son of Admiral Matthew Aylmer, 1st Lord Aylmer and Sarah Ellis. He married Elizabeth Priestman, daughter of Commander William Priestman and Mary (?), on 27 June 1716. He died on 26 June 1754. He was buried on 4 July 1754 at Greenwich, London, England. His will (dated 17 September 1751) was probated on 15 July 1754.
- He held the office of Equerry to King George I.
- He succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Aylmer, Baron of Balrath, co. Meath [I., 1718] on 18 August 1720.
- He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Rye between 1722 and 1727.
- He held the office of Comptroller of the Mint between July 1727 and 1754.
