Henry Laverne Barton

Henry Laverne Barton, son of David Andrew Barton and Jessie Emma Miller, was born May 1, 1907 in Harper Co., Oklahoma. He married 1st with DOROTHY M. ---. She was born 1911. She died Feb. 1962. He then married 2nd with ANNA E. ----. She was born 1919. She died 1988. He died July 29, 1988 in Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas. All buried at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, Reno Co., Kansas.

Children (by Dorothy) wereL Robert Bruce (1940-2007), and Kenneth E. (1941-1964).

Henry recrived his B.S. in 1931 from Sterling College, taught school and coached tracck and basketball in Reno and Rive Counties and retired in 1972. He set many track records and was inducted into the Kansas State High School Activities Hall of Fame in 1977.
