The Genealogical Dictionary of Maine and New Hampshire[1] gives the following (expanded) biography of Henry:
Henry Bennett, was born about 1664, son of Henry and Lydia (Perkins) Bennett of Ipswich, Massachusetts.[1] Henry deposed that he was about 21 in a case at the June 1685 Court. [2]
He married in Ipswich, 20 May 1685 Frances Burr,[1][3] daughter of John and Mary (Smith) Burr.[1][4]
Was Frances the daughter of John? She was not recorded in the Ipswich Vital Records. John left no will naming his children. She could have been born about 1663, 1664, unrecorded. So far no proof or evidence has been found to support the relationship other than there weren't any other Burrs in Ipswich to be her father.
Henry married secondly Margaret ____, the mother of his surviving children.[1] Margaret was named as mother of four of his children in Ipswich.[5]
He was living in Newington, New Hampshire 1716.[1]
His will was written in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 23 Apr 1739, proved 30 May 1739. He named three married daughters (Frances Bab, Johanna Jackson, Lucy Lang); son-in-law Wm. Lang named executor; granddaughter Sarah Fenlayson; grandson Nathaniel Fenlayson.[1][6]
His children were recorded in Ipswich.
