Henry Dillingham was born at Cotesbach, Leicester, ENG, on 13 October 1624. He was the son of Edward Dillingham and Ursula Carter. He married Hannah Perry at Sandwich, PC, on 24 June 1652. He died at Sandwich, Barnstable, MA, on 26 July 1705.

- (I) Edward Dillingham, .... Edward Dillingham died in 1667. His will was made the previous year and probated June 1, immediately succeeding his death. .... Edward Dillingham's wife Drusilla (maiden name unknown), died February 6, 1656. Their Children of record were: Henry, John and Osiah (daughter).
- (II) John, younger son of Edward and Drusilla Dillingham, born about 1630, in England, married, March 24, 1651, Elizabeth, daughter of Henry Feake. He was a marine commander, and died May 21, 1715, at Harwich, Massachusetts, where his widow died December 15, 1720.

- DILLINGHAM: - Edward Dillingham, of Lynn, 1636, from Ditteswell County, Leicester, where he had estate, removed next year to Sandwich; was representative 1642, and had Henry, and John; the younger born in England, about 1630. His will of May 1, 1606, probated June 1, 1667, is abstracted in Genealogical Register, VII, 225.
- John Dillingham, of Ipswich, who came in the fleet with Winthrop was perhaps, brother to Edward, a man of respectable condition, as is proved by the prefix, at his request, October 19, 1630 and also at admission as freeman May 18 following, came from Leicestershire, was first at Boston, being No. 71 of the list of members, and dead is written against it, so that he died soon, leaving wife Sarah, and children Edward and Sarah; but Sarah alone was living when her mother made her will at Ipswich, July 10, 1636. She married John Caldwell, and was probably a relative to Richard Saltonstall and Samuel Appleton, as may be judged from that instrument. See the fine Appleton family memorial.
