About Henry B. Fellows, Sr.
His father Brig. Gen. John Fellows was Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Ancestor #A038852
Squire Henry graduated from Williams College, after which he studied law with Peter Van Schaik at Kinderhook. He was admitted to practice in 1806, and settled in Canandaigua, where he remained until 1811, when he removed to Penfield. He was a member of the state legislature, a supervisor many times, and for thirty-five years justice of the peace. He was also the first school commissioner in 1814.
