From what I understand (if I’m reading it correctly) from this document ... Henry Manning (born 1557) husband of Jacosa Day, was the son of Henry Manning and Elizabeth Kirkener. This Henry being the son of John (1498) and Anna Agnes Petley. Hugo (Hugh) Manning and Margaret Brandon ‘the Younger’ were John’s parents.

Biography

Henry Manning born 1560 in Greenwich, Kent, England, died 14 Jun 1614 in St. Nicholas, Suffolk, England. Henry married Jacosa Day in 1579 in Downe, Kent, England. Henry and Jacosa had a son William Manning 1589 - 1666.

He died between 14 Jun 1614, when his will was signed, and 29 Oct 1614, when it was proved. In his will, Henry calls himself Doctor of Laws and Chancellor of the Diocese of Exeter. He mentions his well-beloved brothers Thomas Whitfield, Esq. of Morteloke; Emmanuel Badde. Esq. of Farehame, Southampton; Edward Haydon, gentleman, of Bradley, Wiltshire.
