Henry 'Ramatswele' van Rensburg (1928 - 2002)

Brief overview:

Henry (74), was shot in the stomach and neck, and died on his farm near Delareyville in the North West on Friday August 7th 2002, Superintendent Louis Jacobs said. Van Rensburg pressed the panic button on his farm around 21h20. The security company could not reach him by phone and alerted the police. He was found alive on his bed, but died before emergency services arrived at the scene.

Update: 29/09/2002 "The North West police are still searching for the killers. The motive of the killing is not yet known and the police are still investigating. Police say Van Rensburg, who was alone during the attack, allegedly pressed the panic button on his farm. The security company he is contracted to could not locate him by phone and alerted the police. The police found him alive on his bed, having been shot twice. He, however, died before emergency services arrived at the scene. Police say only a cellphone was missing and some rooms were ransacked. His workers have expressed concerns about who would hire them because Van Rensburg was their only employer in the area."
