Herbert Rawlings, well known and highly respected resident of Bosanquet, died at the family residence, lot 53 L.R.W. on Monday October 28th in his 77th year. The deceased had been ill about two weeks with heart trouble. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Rawlings of Bosanquet and was a lifelong resident of the township. In 1892. Mr. Rawlings married Miss Julia Ellen Clemens of Bosanquet who survives him with five sons and three daughters, viz., Walter Rawlings of Sarnia township; Lloyd, Austin and Earl of Bosanquet, and Edgar of Forest; Mrs. Archie Fuller and Mrs. Arthur Page of Bosanquet and a brother Caleb Rawlings of Forest also survive. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. A private service was held at the home at 1:30 o'clock followed by a public service in the Gospel Hall, Lake Road, Bosanquet. Donald McGeachy of Sarnia and Fred Watson of Toronto conducted the services and the pallbearers were the five sons mentioned above and a son-in-law Archie Fuller. Interment took place in Ravenswood cemetery.
