About Hermann Bodenheimer
- Reference: Ancestry Genealogy - SmartCopy: Jan 12 2017, 0:48:47 UTC
We are currently working with the Bad Kissinger municipal archive on an online database, a virtual "biographical memorial book of the Jews of Bad Kissingen during the Nazi period".
We are interested in informations of Nanny Bodenheimer nee Löwenthal from Bad Kissingen - a spa town in Franconia- who married Hermann Bodenheimer from Frankfurt/Main.
Maybe you are related to them? And could give further informations about them?
here the short biography of Nanny Bodenheimer nee Löwenthal (excuse the weak google translate):
Nanny Bodenheimer nee Löwenthal was born on 12.05.1876 as the fourth of five children of the merchant Hermann Löwenthal and his wife Fanny nee Frank in Bad Kissingen and grew up in the Promenadestraße with her parents. She married in Frankfurt Hermann Bodenheimer, in whose company later her younger brother Isidor was employed. Between 1902 and 1910 Nanny's four children were born in Frankfurt. About her life is very little known. She and her husband managed to emigrate to the United States. All children were able to flee Germany in time and survived in the United States or Palestine. Nanny Bodenheimer died on May 30, 1960 in New York at the age of 84, her over ten years older husband had already died in 1951.
Best regards, Rudolf Walter
