"Esther Smith, born about 1653, christening about 1653 Glastonbury, Hartford, Connecticut married 1 Sept 1676 at Wethersfield, to John Strickland, b. at Dedham, Mass., 17 Feb. 1648/9, son of Thwaite and Elizabeth (Shepard) Strickland."

Esther died before 1725 when she was mentioned as deceased in the probate file of her sister Bethiah (Smith) Stoddard. "Order to be distributed ... to the heirs of Esther Strickland ..."[2]
