Hester John Martin was born on Dec. 16, 1845 in Nevils, Bulloch County, Georgia, daughter of John M Martin (1802-1884) and Mary (Rimes) Martin (1807-1869).

On Feb 22, 1865, Hester Martin married Mileton M Waters in Bulloch County, GA.

On June 24, 1924, Hester Waters of Statesboro, GA, age 78, was found dead of old age in bed (a) in Bulloch County, GA. Informant was Mrs. W.H. DeLoach of Statesboro, GA. Arrangements with S.L. Terry, undertaker, Statesboro, GA. On June 25, 1924, burial was in the Upper Black Creek Cemetery, Brooklet, Bulloch County, GA.
