"Daniel and Hezekiah Avery, with their families, and several other of their family connections, came in at the same time as Benjamin from the same place.* Hezekiah Avery settled first at Aurora, and in March, 1815, removed to Ledyard. The house in which he lived is now occupied by his daughter Harriet, wife of Chas. Avery. It is the one in which the post-office is kept at Ledyard. Harriet is the only one of his children living. He kept a tavern till shortly before his death, April l0th, 1854."
