About Hillard Morton Barker
Hillard M. Barker, 67 died Feb. 13 in the Veterans Hospital in Louisville. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Church of God near Campton.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Barker, Campton; a son, Ernie C. Barker in the U.S. Army at Camp Bunker Hill, Ind. and six daughters; Mrs. Edna Mae Day and Mrs. Stella Combs of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Carrie Johnson and Mrs. Lillie Johnson, both of South Lyon, Mich., Mrs. Vernie Ruth Johnson, War Creek, Ky and Mrs. Jean Shelton, Middletown, Ind. and two brothers, Isaac Barker, Campton, and Tom Barker of Mich, and 23 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at one p.m. at the "little" Church of God, Campton, with Rev. Osborn and Rev. Granville Rose officiating. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery with B.F. Porter and Son in charge.
