Hon. Frederick Somerset Gough-Calthorpe was born on 27 May 1892.1 He was the son of Somerset Frederick Gough-Calthorpe, 8th Baron Calthorpe and Mary Burrows.1 He married Rose Mary Dorothy Vernon-Harcourt, daughter of Leveson William Vernon-Harcourt and Rose Adelaide Lawrence, on 5 September 1922 at St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London, England.1 He died on 19 November 1935 at age 43.1
He fought in the First World War.1 Between 1929 and 1930 he played four cricket tests for England in the West Indies as captain.2
