About Hugh Ross
Hugh Ross studied law with his brother John, at Easton, and was admitted to the bar there in 1801. He practiced law there a short time, then came back to Newtown, where he practiced a few years, then went to Trenton and subsequently settled in Milford, Pike county, Penna., where he built the house still occupied by his granddaughter, Mrs. VanAukin, and in which he died. He married Catharine Biddis, of Pike county, and had two children, Edward and Louisa.
