About Ida (Billie) Gordon

Graduated from Portland High School in the class of 1919 and was a star basketball player (so she says). This is when she earned her nickname "Billie" after her basketball coach, Billie O'Connor.

After graduation she worked in a clothing store doing office work. Myer Gordon worked for the same company (different store) and on Sept. 8, 1925 they wre married in Old Orchard Beach ME at the Empire Hotel. They were married for 62 years before Myer passed away.

They had 3 children: Sumner, Jean & Stephen.
