- Mrs. Kliewer died on Friday afternoon, April 3, 1998, at the Goshen General Hospital in Goshen, IN.
- Ida Mae Troyer, the daughter of Lloyd and Emma (Kennel) Troyer, was born May 10, 1921, in Schickley, NE. After completing her education, Ida helped with the family farm.
- Ida was baptized upon confession of her faith in May, 1939. On Feb. 8, 1948, she was united in marriage to Elmer Kliewer at the Wellman Mennonite Church, Wellman, IA. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Mt. Lake. Ida did childcare and worked for many years at the Eventide Nursing Home and Toro in Windom.
- She was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. Elmer died on November 10, 1989. Since Elmer's death, Ida has been spending winters with her children in the Goshen, IN area.
- Ida is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Steiner and her husband, Charles, Goshen, IN, and Vickie Kearby and her husband, Randy of Bluffton, IN; two sons, Lynn Kliewer and his wife, Dianne of Middlebury, IN and Richard Kliewer of Goshin, IN; nine grandchildren; five sisters, Nettie Fehlberg, Wellman, IN, Wilma Becker and her husband, Paul, Mt. Lake, Verda Troyer, Alta Troyer and Della Yoder and her husband, Keith, all of Kalona, IA, one brother, Lloyd Troyer and his wife, Erma of Kalona, IA; also many other relatives and friends.
- She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three brothers, Ivan, Warren and Wilbur.
