About Ines Louisa Fischer
Ines was a caring, doting and wonderful Grandmother, She worked very hard after her husband died in 1950. Her daughter, Ilene and son in law Gordon lived next door to her during that time, She helped raise David, Joan and Bob. She worked in the kitchen at the local grammar school and raised chickens, cured olives, made lye soap, had a pet myna bird and had a beautiful garden. In 1958 her daughter Ilene and family moved to Clovis. In 1964 her family had a home built for her in Clovis at the N/E corner of Elm and 1st street. She loved her new home and worked hard to make it perfect for her and her then husband Grandpa Van Eps. Unfortunately that was short lived as she suffered a heart attack while working to make it her new home.
