Asher Lincoln Hurlbert

Asher was first found in the 1870 Census living with his parents and 5 siblings in New Oregon, Iowa. By the 1885 Iowa State Census the family had moved to Waveland, Iowa where there were still 6 kids in the family. He married a year later in 1886 and He and Gertrude were found in the 1900 Census in Wayne, Nebraska. He was working as a well driller and they already had 8 kids at home. They were found in the 1910 Census in Sherman, Wayne, NE where he was farming and now with 10 kids at home and listed as 49. Sadly he died in an auto accident just 7 years later with 5 or 6 kids still at home. His wife, Gertrude died just a year later. Really sad for the kids remaining at home.
