Dr Zahava Szasz Stessel writes in "Wine and Thorns in Tokay Valley: Jewish Life in Hungary - the History of Abaujszanto" (Fairleigh Dickinson University Press, 1995) that Nathan Yizhak Lipschitz died on 11 Adar and was buried Abaújszántó and that he was the son of Elazar, the rabbi of Piotrkow, and served as rabbi in Abaújszántó from 1843 to 1873. She writes that Nathan Lipschitz married the daughter of Benjamin Wolf Löw and that Rabbi Elazar Lipschitz was the son of Jehuda Leibis, whose father was Yehiel Michal Lipschitz.
