Isaac was one of the early settlers of Stratford in 1639. he was probably the Sgt. appointed by the General Court of Conn. to train the militia of Stratford and Pequonnock in 1636. He married Margaret, their children were Sarah, Josiah, Isaac, Jonathan, Ephraim, Patience, Temperance, may, Margery, Benjamin, and Elizabeth. His trade was that of a soap builder. He died in 1694. In his will of Sept, 25 1694, he mentioned Margaret; his four sons were dead, but he gives a small legacy to each of the children of the last three sons; the others previously received their portions [1].
According to maps of Stratford around 1640, Isaac's home would be located approximately at what is now 1714 Main Street, Stratford, CT 06615 [2].
