From curator: "From long time researcher Leonard Singleton I found an entry that Ossemo, a Cherokee, had daughter Tish Giles early to mid 1700's. This daughter married circa 1750's William Singleton, son of Issac Singleton and Rebecca Robins of Gloucester Co., VA. William died 1820 in Gloucester Co., VA at age 100. There were several children of this marriage including James Egbert Singleton who moved to Rockcastle County, Kentucky. He married a Margaret Crawford of North Carolina."
This line was from the original Singleton of England immigration into Hampton, VA in 1637 by Henry Joshua Singleton.
This connection between the Robert Singleton b1652 d1724 line to his son Isaac b1702 d1725 to his son William b1720-1820 was confirmed from the MyHeritage family trees of Tom Lecroy and Nancy Jones plus 10 or more others on MYHeritage.com. His wife's name was Rebecca Robins.
