"Despite Isaak's great age, he was energetic and spry until he contracted the illness of dropsy. This ended his life. The gravestone epitaph says "Gehe aus deiner Freundschaft in ein Land dass ich dire Zeigen will" (Krahn, George, 1994, p. 3). He was living in Nieder Chortitza, Chortitza Colony in 1840 per David Epp's diary entry for 18 Jan 1840. The Jake & Kathy Hildebrand submission says he was born at Rosenthal, Chortitza.
