Isabel Wentworth

WE KNOW THAT ISABELLA'S FATHER WAS WILLIAM POLLINGTON THE SON OF THOMAS POLLINGTON. SHE MARRIED WILLIAM WENTWORTH, BUT WAS HE THE SON OF ROGER WENTWORTH OR ANOTHER WILLIAM WENTWORTH? THEIR CHILD JOHN, DID HE MARRY ALICE BISSET OR JOAN TYAS? SOME TREES SAY JOHN AND ALICE BISSET DID NOT HAVE ANY SURVIVING ISSUE. THERE ARE SEVERAL PUBLISHED TREES WITH AT LEAST SIX DIFFERENT SCENERIOS ON SEVERAL GENERATIONS.

      • 2. John, of whom hereafter. The eldest son William was afterwards knighted, and continued the direct line of the famly of Wentworth-Woodhouse.
