ISABEL (-after Feb 1323). The Fundationis et Fundatorum Historia of Ford Abbey names “Isabellam domini Johannis de St John uxorem, Avelinam domini Johannis Gifford militis uxorem, necnon Egelinam Roberti de Scales uxorem, et Margaretam Johannis de Mulis…uxorem” as the four daughters of “Hugonem de Courtnay primum” & his wife[465]. A manuscript recording the founding of Boxgrove Priory, Sussex names "Isabellam filiam nobilis viri Hugonis de Cortenay" as the wife of “Johannes secundus [de sancto Johanne]”[466]. m as his first wife, JOHN de St John, son of Sir JOHN de St John of Basing, Hampshire & his wife Alice de FitzPiers ([1271/74]-before 4 Apr 1329). He was summoned to Parliament in 1299 whereby he is held to have become Lord St John of Basing
