Isaiah Angell

Genealogy of the Descendants of Thomas Angell, who settled Providence, 1636 by Avery F. Angell p.24 Isaiah Angell, 4th generation, oldest son of an oldest son (1-Thomas, 2-John, 3-Thomas) His father gave him the farm he owned (at the time of the writing of this book , the farm was owned by David Field, Esq., near Clayville, in Scituate) and built for him a two story house. He married Prudence Wilkenson, daughter of Joseph, of Scituate, and granddaughter of Samuel who was son of Lawrence, the first Wilkenson from England who settled in Providence. Isaiah Angell is not supposed to have lived to be a very old man, but the date of his death is not known. His property fell to his only child, a daughter who married Gideon Austin, and they had several children. One child was named Angell Austin, who was a good merchant, building wagons. Angell had two daughters who were noted for their beauty and accomplishments.
