About Israel Greenberg (né Zelazo)
- Israel learned the barbering trade when he came to New York. At one time her worked for Alexander Kudlick Siskind. In the hand-written biography that Israel wrote for his grandchildren, he noted (on page 63) that ..."...also Siskind had his barber shop on a high stoop Store with a very big window in front of his store, with three big rooms in the back of his store where his Family consisted of eleven people: his parents and nine Children: five boys and four girls live in there and of which during the time two of the oldest Children before I came there to work yet got married. They were Lizza the oldest of the girls, who right after her marriage left for Chicago and never came back to New York again, and Newman the oldest of the boys, which right after his Marriage went to his own Apartment."
- At Washington Cemetery, Israel and Jennie are buried in the plot of Mozirer Aid Society, in Cemetery No. 5, Section 5, Block 473, close to where Jennie's brother Newman Kudlick is buried.
