Ivan Lester O'Neal

O'NEAL, I. LESTER - Ivan Lester O'Neal, 79, Gibson City, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday 6-4-1980 at his home. His funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday at Lamb Funeral Home, the Reverend James Bortell officiating. Burial was in Drummer Twp Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen O'Neal, Bill O'Neal, Larry O'Neal, Cleveland O'Neal, Dave O'Neal, and Kenneth O'Donnell. Mr. O'Neal was born 8-17-1900 at LeRoy, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel O'Neal. He married Mabel Beaver 12-24-1923, at Paxton and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Arthur Gene, Gibson City, and Ivan Eugene, Champaign; a daughter, Eva Lorene O'Neal, Gibson City; a brother, Ivor, Gibson City; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A son, three brothers, and four sisters preceded him in death. Mr. O'Neal was a life-long resident of Gibson City. He retired in 1962 as a drayman. Donations may be made to the family.
