(Kr. note).

The Dads Svinhufvud and their history, Elisabet Hemström, page 10 "The greatest owner of Främby after Daniel Torkelsson was his son Jöns Danielsson (d. 1613). He was a bailiff in various parts of the Dalarna from 1583 to 1604 and one of the most influential people. In addition to Främby, he owned several other properties and received 1608, among others, Lönnemossa in Vika and Liljan in Aspeboda in the lecture of Karl IX.

"Jöns Danielsson Svinhufvud to Främmandeby and Lilljan had his coat painted on the organlärarn (: in Kopparberg's church), depicting a dark gray Swinhufwud, in red Felt, and on the sides In D., also had a Wapn sitting on the pillar bredewid, hwilket is now borto ". So, the communist in Falun wrote Eric Hammarström in his book "Older and newer remarkable-

named wid Stora Kopparberget "in 1789.

The weapon from the pillar is now - hardly restored - in Steneby church in Dalsland, where it was probably brought by Jöns' son Carl, who lived there. It was meant to be used in the funeral processions of the members of the family. It was Carl who introduced the family to Riddarhuset, and since "Dal" then belonged to Västergötland, it was named Svinhufvud in Västergötland. "

Jöns Danlelssan (son of Daniel Torkilsson, Nobil. Svinhufvud, Tab. 1). to Fremby and Lilljan in Thorsångs parish, also in Dalarne, which hometown he received in 1595 in the lair; King Sigismunds Bailiff in Oster-Dalarne with Tuna parish and the mountain slopes as well as Oster-Sölfberg's farms under Kopparberget 1593; King Carl IX's Bailiff or Commander in East Dalarna 1606; Dog at the year 1612. D., was painted on the organ ceiling in Fahlu church, wherever also on the pillar where beside prejudice his arms hung. - Married in with Christina Larsdotter, to TäckÅker in Öster-Haninge parish and Södertörn, who lived the widow in 1641 and carried in the weapon crossing cars between four bullets.

Lunch with the Family Svinhufvud af Qvalstad at Riddarhuset in Stockholm on September 29, 2013

Jöns Danielsson Fogde. (died 1613) Married to Christina Larsdotter (von Köllen) Göran Jönsson Svinhufvud (died 1639) Huvudmannagren (Qvist / Nordqvist) Cornelius Jönsson Svinhufvud Homeowner (died 1686) Unofficial branch (Floden, Flodin, Johansson, Gustafsson) Carl Jönsson Svinhufvud ( ) Younger branch (Svinhufvud) Well, next to the main branch there is also a younger, fairly numerous branch of the family. In this branch the members have always carried and still bear the name Svinhufvud. This branch was owned in Västergötland during the first half of the century and when the family was introduced at Riddarhuset in 1633, it was therefore registered under the name Svinhufvud in Westergötland. In this branch of the family, in principle, all men from the century onwards have become officers in the Swedish Armed Forces. The officer tradition began to loosen up in the speech, but it was not until the second half of the century that it was definitively broken. Today, the Svinhufvud family in Westergötland cannot have a single professional military. I know that your family has gone through a similar development Officially, the family Svinhufvud in Westergötland today consists of two branches. But now comes the exciting thing: there is actually a third agnatic branch of the family that lives and has health. But it is not included in Riddarhuset's genealogies and its now living members are consequently not presented in the Swedish nobility calendar either. This branch of the family originates from a grandson to the nobleman Daniel Torkelsson, the author of the family in 1581. This grandson was named Cornelius Jönsson Svinhufvud (). His life became very different, compared to his brothers, who became officers in the Swedish army of great powers and married in the county. Cornelius, who became very old (about 87 years), married a peasant girl and settled in Floda and Grangärde finnmarker in Dalarna, where the population mostly consisted of immigrant forest Finns. Cornelius Jönsson, like the members of the Qvist branch, dropped the surname Svinhufvud and his children adopted the common name of the common people with so-called patronymic icons (father's name). Thus, if the father's name was Cornelius, the sons' names were Corneliusson and the daughters Corneliusdotter os v. Cornelius Jönsson Svinhufvud's fate has most ambitiously been investigated by a genealogist in the speech named Edelfeldt. His investigation showed that there are agnatic descendants of Cornelius Jönsson Svinhufvud not only here in Sweden, but also in the United States, where members emigrated in speech. The Swedish House of Knights became aware of this investigation, but has never accepted it, because it did not meet all the scientific criteria. Among other things, detailed source references were missing. However, I have spent a lot of time researching Edelfeldt's investigation and can vouch for the fact that it correct. There is thus a third surviving and quite numerous branch of the family Svinhufvud in Westergötland where the Swedish members today bear the surnames Johansson and Gustafsson. In America, the members bear the name Flodin, after Floda parish in Dalarna, which was the place they emigrated from in the century and also the parish where Cornelius Jönsson settled during the second half of the century .. This lost branch of the family should of course be reintroduced on the family's pedigree and our family association intends to eventually contact the Swedish knight's genealogist in the matter. It is not uncommon for branches of noble families to end up in poor circumstances, renounce their nobility and sink into the peasantry. In academic circles, such a development is usually called class circulation and the fact is that it has also happened in your family, the family Svinhufvud of Qvalstad. At the beginning of the speech, I was called by a genealogist who came across boatmen in Uppland church records that she suspected were agnatic descendants of members of the Svinhufvud af Qvalstad family. Upon closer inspection, the suspicions turned out to be completely correct. A branch of your family that remained in Sweden when the others moved to Finland sank into a peasant state at the end of the century. They also dropped the family name Svinhufvud. These poor nobles enlisted as soldiers and boatmen and then adopted traditional soldier and boatman names. Instead of Svinhufvud, they called themselves Dräll, Glad, Lustig and Callström. This branch of the family Svinhufvud af Qvalstad is also the incompletely reproduced in the Swedish Riddarhuset genealogies. One question I asked myself when I was contacted by this genealogist was, of course, whether this genus was really extinct? Or could the family Svinhufvud af Qvalstad also have an unknown family branch that in secret has survived into our days? I can certainly not dismiss that possibility because I have not researched the matter properly enough, but from what I have seen so far it does not seem so unfortunate, because it is always fun when old family branches suddenly re-emerge from the dead. It seems as if the last male Svinhufvudet of this lost branch of the family Svinhufvud af Qvalstad was the farmhand Gustav Adolf Glad, who was born in 1798 and died of pneumonia (tuberculosis) in northern Uppland in 1848. and can hardly read beforehand and that he forgot the whole message of the catechesis. Another note states that he disobeyed his master "and committed violence in the house". The boy Gustaf Adolf Glad is probably the last male member of the branch of the Svinhufvud family in Qvalstad that remained in Sweden when the rest of the family ended up in Finland. In the excerpt from a house interrogation photographed above, the priest has noted on the far right that his name is actually Svinhufvud. Gustaf Adolf was the son of Anders Jakob Svinhufvud af Qvalstad () and the maid Cajsa Matsdotter (). Anders Jacob became a boatman in northern Uppland in the early 1790s and then appears under the name Callström. After a short period as a miner, he reappears as a boatman, but now with the name Glad. In the 1830s, Anders Jakob Glad is titled dismissed boatman and gratialist, which means that he receives a certainly much-needed small pension from Vadstena Krigsmanshus cash.
