Marja-Liisa Sointula-Eronen : This Jürgen Brandenburg is possibly identical to person who is mentioned to be ( In Finnish church records in Kitee ) as Jöran Bamberg´s father. The son was written to be Jöran Jöransson Bamberg. Jöran is identical to names Georg ( much in use in latter generations) and Jürgen. In Deutsch speaking families Georg is often called Jürgen in his time.

Did his sons use Bamberg as a military name ? It is possible to identify 4 military persons in Scandinavia and in the Baltic Countries , who used surename Bamberg in military records, in the time of the Great Northen War 1700- 1721.( Sshy / Family history society of Finland/ members/ military Records )
