Jacob BUFFINGTON, born 1785 Virginia now WV; died 1 May 1860. Jacob married Amelia Ann Harvey on 24/26 June 1804, daughter of William Harvey, Jr. and Margaret Beall (Bell) and a sister to Chole Harvey that married Joseph Buffington, Jacob's brother. ( CWH ) Amelia was born in Maryland in 1783 and died 7 February 1861.--Their children were: Hezekiah, born 26 October 1805, married Elizabeth A. Barringer 25 January 1829, died 14 February 1865; --Nehemiah married Susana Bowman, married 21 January 1836, died 14 February 1881;-- Jacob, Jr., born 25 Feb 1809;-- Harvey married Rebecca Rowley; Hamilton, born 1812, married Jane Hinn 13 August 1834;-- Richard;- Rachel, born 1818 and unmarried in 1850; --Asa, born 1820 and unmarried in 1850, died April or September of 1871; --Amelia, born 1822, married James A.
